Our New Website

Welcome to the brand new Imagine Nations website!

As we are preparing to welcome a much larger number of users as we get ready to launch our initial releases, we are moving away from the older site to a website we hope will have more reliability even with a greater number of users. This new website has a higher capacity, which should allow us to have faster loading times, and improved forums functionality.

For those who have yet to back Imagine Nations, our new store page also lets you automatically select the individual game copies and add-ons, rather than having to pay and then send an email and wait for a response.  Any purchases you make will be paired to your account, with new releases being added (and notification being sent immediately when it happens).

For those who do have a copy of the game, you can now also create groups, which have their own personal forums.  Groups, which are like guilds or clans in other games, allow you to socialize with people in a semi-private setting, so that you can limit conversations just to people who have a specific shared interest.  For example, you could invite only the people in the same multiplayer game in a group, so that you can have conversations with just the other people in your game universe.

If you were registered on the previous forums, you will need to use the “recover password” function to get a new password for security reasons.  (As usual, you can change your password to whatever you choose after doing so.)

Note:  There are some issues we’re working through.  For simple workarounds:

  1. If you cannot login through the account button on the right side of the menu, go directly to http://www.imaginenationsgame.com/wp-login.php to get in.
  2. If you had a previous account and its requiring a new password to be claimed, go directly to http://www.imaginenationsgame.com/my-downloads/lost-password/
  3. For backers, after claiming the account, you should have access to the backer’s area again.  If not, contact us.  Also, once we get everything squared away, any other backer benefits will be paired directly to your account and will be available in the My Downloads area.
  4. A portion of users and posts from after mid-April did not migrate properly.  We’re looking into some solutions.

Any other issues you run into, please contact us on the Contact page under About and we’ll get it resolved asap!

    No problem!

    Don’t get me wrong, I see that you trying to do a lot of cool stuff here, but on basic level (reading) site broken at the moment.

    New design is… how do I put it… awful. It’s trying to be Big and Bold and Flat Colors and other buzzwords of last five years, but it fails.

    I know, design is more art, than science, but there are rules (and yes, I know – I’m web designer), so I’m just going to point only couple of things you need to fix: font and content width.

    Change this

    body { color: ; font-family: Oswald, sans-serif; }

    to this

    body { font-family: sans-serif }

    and site ten times better. If you really want your fancy fonts, leave them for titles, don’t rely on them for main text. Or choose better font, but only if you know what you doing.

    And that’s brings us to the next point: text line width. Recommended length for comfortable reading is from 50 to 75 letters per line (and there are a lot of cool toys for that), you have up to 230. See the problem? Make font bigger, make text column thinner.

    And make your links underlined for crying out loud!
